Greetings and welcome to Sophie's Room! We have been a long time in the making but we are finally here and ready to meet you, and very pleased we are about it.
Who "we" are.
Alexa, is a working Mum with ideas and a little free time to realise them. She enjoys all things crafty and has spent her life so far dreaming up small business ideas that have each revolved around what she can do with her hands. Something of a perfectionist, it has taken her many years to feel satisfied with any one idea, but now... at last, she has an idea that she is ready to unleash into the public domain! Alexa also has a more general blog known as Carey Fairy in which she writes about crafting, parenting, and really anything that takes her fancy.
Sophie is Alexa's daughter, her inspiration, and the ray of sunshine in her life making her laugh and keeping her grounded. It is Sophie's inspiration, and the support of family and friends, that has finally given Alexa the courage to launch this little enterprise.
What Sophie's Room is.
Sophie's Room is the creative home of an array of handmade and bespoke items, each lovingly designed and made by Alexa. The first items to be launched in this blog are a collection of beautiful felt mobiles for children's bedrooms and playrooms. Each of the pieces here is available to buy, and bespoke items can be created to fit with your chosen themes and colour schemes.
In the coming weeks you will be able to see new designs arriving on this blog as they are created, so we hope you will follow us and enjoy this journey of discovery with us. Perhaps you will even feel compelled to make a purchase or two?! We look forward to seeing more of you.
